Ingredients

  • 4 oz cream cheese softened, whipped preferred
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 green onion thinly sliced
  • 6 slices deli turkey thin-sliced
  • 4 slices cheddar cheese sliced not shredded
  • 2 regular-sized flour tortillas
  • 1/4 cup shredded lettuce

Equipment

  • Small mixing bowl
  • Cutting board
  • Sharp knife

Method

  1. In a small bowl, mix softened cream cheese, sliced green onion, salt, and pepper until fully combined.
  2. Lay one tortilla flat on a cutting board. Spread half the cream cheese mixture evenly across the entire surface all the way to the edges.
  3. Sprinkle half the shredded lettuce over the cream cheese. Place 3 slices of turkey and 2 slices of cheddar on the left side of the tortilla, keeping them about half an inch from the outer edge.
  4. Starting from the filled side, roll the tortilla tightly toward the opposite end. Press the edge firmly to seal. Add a small smear of extra cream cheese if needed. Repeat with the second tortilla.
  5. Cut each roll in half, then cut each half into 5 equal pieces using a single pressing motion. Trim or discard the unfilled end pieces. Serve immediately or refrigerate in an airtight container.

Notes

Use whipped cream cheese for easier spreading. Roll tightly and spread cream cheese to edges for a clean seal. Store sliced roll ups in an airtight container for up to 4 days. For longer freshness, refrigerate whole and slice just before serving.
